How to Find Unclaimed Amount
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently launched a portal called Udgam to help people find unclaimed money in their name. Unclaimed money is money that has been left in a bank account for a long period of time without any activity.
To find unclaimed money using the Udgam portal, you will need to click on Register and provide some basic information such as your name, mobile number.
Once you have created an account, After this you have to login,Thenyou can start searching for unclaimed money. You can search by your name, date of birth, or PAN number.
If the search results show that you have unclaimed money, you will be given a reference number. You can then contact the bank or financial institution where the money is held to claim it.
Here are the steps on how to find unclaimed amount using the Udgam portal:
- Go to the Udgam portal website: https://udgam.rbi.org.in/unclaimed-deposits/#/login
- Click on “Register”.
- Enter your name, date of birth, and PAN number.
- Click on “Submit”.
- You will receive a verification code on your mobile number. Enter the verification code.
- You will be logged in to your account.
- Click on “Search for Unclaimed Amount”.
- Enter your name, date of birth, or PAN number.
- Click on “Search”.
- If the search results show that you have unclaimed money, you will be given a reference number like shown above image.
- Contact the bank or financial institution where the money is held to claim it.
